Advice and help please

i am new to satellites and have purchased a technomate 6800HD, and patched the technomate with what i hope is the latest patch from your web site. My dish is a communal one pointing at Astra.

My Questions;

I can pick up Siruis satellite but it has scrambled channels, can my technomate un scramble them?
What are CAMS and what would be the best for me.
Do i need a card as well? if so which card?

As my wife is filipino she would like to receive filipino channels from Atlantic bird 3, do you think i can recieve them if a get another dish. the problem would be whether i would allowed to put another dish up on this new small block of flats.
Can i recieve it through my window with the dish on a tripod stand?

Any help would be appreciated as i am a novice

I"d question whether your getting sirius mate.
patching is or no use on astra2.
cams or cards are of no use either on asrtra2.
if you can "see" the sat from your window it may be just possible but its very much touch & go.with no guarantee of success.

You cannot be picking up sirius as youa re not pointing the dish at it. Sirius is 4e Astra 28.2e. You cannot pick up a signal from inside your flat.
