    Technomate 5200 wiring up...

    Hi there again everyone...
Small question regarding the wiring and connection of my TM 5200...
My sat feed has two wires (sat 1 and sat 2) but there's only one input in the back of the TM (LNB input I believe)...now the really stupid question...
Is it just a case of using a splitter connection (2 to 1) into the LNB input, or do I put the feeds in seperately somewhere else?
In that case I would need two end cable connections (the screwing ones) and the 2 to 1 splitter...yes?
It's just that it's a mate's house and I would rather be certain first before messing about with it...thanks again.

You've got me there, as mine is motorised. I just know that a splitter drops the signal by about 3dB (ie half)

You can only connect one, do not short it or it will blow lnb and maybe permanently damage receiver.

          sat1 and sat2...

I think having two outputs from the wall (sat1 sat2) may have something to do with being connected to S+ (ahem) and there being a communal ariel/ dish as my mate lives in a new build city centre flat...
Has anyone have experience of rigging up this TM 5200 in that environment before?
Glad I didn't fart about with it now...
