    No Picture after firmware update

    Hi all,

Am a beginner and just done a firmware update on my TM-6800HD, it wrote to the reciever fine then rebooted its self, but now no picture is coming up.

has anyone else had this problem or know what i have done and how i can fix it.

i have tried a long powerdown but that hasnt helped, the box turns on, says technomate on the display and has the blue light on around the direction keys.

thanks in advance to anyone who replys

first did you load the patch with a memory stick
or a null modem cable? next do the free to air channels open?
or wont the box start and let you see the chn lists or menu's etc:
next is it a super model or a original,

can you get into the menu by turning on and then
pressing the menu button, if you can try a factory re-set
if you cant get into the menu and the box is locked then
you need to load the boot software first to clear the block
then you can load the patch again, if this is the first patch
you have loaded on the receiver, a lot say always load the
first patch with a null modem cable, then after this you can load
everything with a memory stick, do you have a null modem cable?
it can only be loaded with the cable the memory stick cant load this software
the boot software can be found on technomate.com official website

I had same problem, made receiver stick at 'Technomate', this was when I applied new patch using USB. So I used the 'Go back' firmware via serial port from Technomate website. Which fixed the receiver, then applied the 703 patch via serial. It loaded ok that way. Recording seems a lot less buggy with the new patch. Only thing i that the 'Moving to ...' no longer appears when the dish is moving.
