New 6900 Series 703 patch

Ok, so after a Go Back, I got 703 patch installed. I have got the record one channel and watch another channel on same transponder working !!!! Which I never could on previous patches. I noticed an Auto Timeshift option in the USB menu, I switched it on and when I press rewind on a live channel the screen goes blank. Should this option enable the ability to rewind a live channel? One other thing I didnt install the Add-on patch, do I need to, and what is it for?

Just discovered the new video edit option, quite basic and slow but handy all the same!

Unless you have 2 sat tuners you cant pause live tv or rewind.

Not that I am questioning your knowledge, you probly misunderstood my queries. But surely that statement is not factual, as you can indeed pause live tv on the 6900 without 2 tuners.

Got the auto timeshift working!!!! So can now rewind live tv!

It does puzzle me that when there are new features in new firmware, that there isnt much info on how to use them, or in fact any interest in them.

True, it was actually the new auto timeshift option that I had trouble finding out about I'm glad that I have got it working now, mind as always, theres improvements that could be made. It would be good if it was possible to save a recording that has been rewound.
