Update Firmware TM-6900 SUPER HD Help

    Hi Everyone
Recently purchased a TM-6900 HD Super + USB PVR and want to ensure that I have patched the firmware to the most resent version. I am more than a little confused with the way the official TM site list what patches are available, when it is needed and how to apply it.
    Can someone please offer advice?
On what the most recent patch is and where to obtain it
Can it be applied successfully by USB or will it need to be uploaded via RS232?
Given that I intend to connect the TM to a motorised system after Christmas
    Can someone please outline
What I need to do to get the most out of the TM box i.e.
What software is available and how to install it USB or RS232

BTW I have found that when I attempt to do channel maintenance move delete etc after selecting a number of channels the system fails to pick up any channels (NO CHANNEL DISPLAYS) unless you refresh by power down and back up.
As anyone else found this to be the case
    Many Thanks
    Cynderyn

      hello cynderyn,
there are guides to patching in the red sticky section.
the official TM web site will only give official software and not the unofficial patches I believe you are looking for that can also be found in the stickies.the latest patch for your box is 688 but it must be the one for the tm 6900HD super.
you can patch via usb stick ok and onced patched you would need to load the latest softcam in order to open some encrypted channels on 1W,5E,13E,23.5E.but you must be prepared to lose them(particularly1W) if they change encryption.
your other problem sounds like a software glitch I take it you still have the original official software in? a factory reset may cure it.
some say that 1st time patching should be done by rs232 but you will need a darkman loader as well for that,I have only ever used the usb method for my tm6800hd and never had any probs.most of what you need to know is in the sticky section.

ps.can you change your font to the std white lower case as its hard to read the black.

        Hi Dick B

Many Thanks for the feedback I will look into sticky section, I did try loading 6900HDSuper_688p-14-08-2009.stb but the box tells me it is not for my box.

Have I got the right patch ?

I have updated to most recent patch 7.04 from TM web site but have not tried factory re-set I will give it a go to see if cures problem.

        Thanks for advice on font
