    Technomate tm-2300 problem

    Hi guys,

I have an issue with my motor. Since this morning, it has stopped moving despite me trying to reset it.

Is there anything that I can do to resolve this? Or what may the issue be?

Its currently locked to 28.2e. Would anybody have a link to the manual for this motor as I have lost mine.

All help will be much appreciated.

    Cheers guys!!!

Its been really cold here. And also a day of snow.

I did not know that it can get frozen. The satellite is currently placed at 28.2 and the channels are working fine.

In terms of manual reset, how do I do this?

          Thanks again.

there is a manual reset button on the motor.. you need to push a pen / nail / screw in to activate it

Brilliant. I will try doing that right now.

Also, last question, where are the green and red lights located on the motor? And are they always shining?

              Cheers!

the green light shows that power is getting to the motor.

it will go off when the motor is moving but should come back on, and stay on, when it has found the position and stopped.

it should be on the right hand side as you look at it with the pole behind you

I tried resetting the motor. I removed the plastic ptorector and inside there just seems to be a light. Is I have tried to click the area with a screwdriver but nothing has happened. Also, I have tried to move the dish east and west using the button but it does not move. Is there are a chance the dish has messed up?

I have tried what you said and held down the reset button.

Nothing has happened after resetting the dish.

I also tried to move the motor using the button next to it but no luck.

What do you think might be the problem? I have only has the motor for 5 months so I am not too happy that it looks to have messed up.

Not a good end to the year for me! Anything else I could do?

                      Cheers.

sounds knackered to me.. if it wont reset or manual move.. what box are you trying to move it with..

have you tried reset then removed all cables, replaced cables and reset to 0

                          I am using the DM500.

When you say reset, do you mean resetting the box?

reset the settings on the 500 (not a reboot) then reset your motor.. if it still doesnt work try moving the dish with another box if you can.. if it still fails to move its knackered..
