Technomate 6900 HD Combo super+ OR Humax FOXSAT Freesat HDR PVR?

    Hi all,
Any advice on these 2? They are about the same price now on amazon or if shopping around, ?240
The Humax FOXSAT Freesat HDR PVR is a real PVR with 320GB that you can easily upgrade apprently...
The Technomate is PVR ready so need to buy a HDD too but maybe easier for setting up other satellites than freesat?

I am after UK freesat HD channels and HD continental channels (french+italian+spanish, even russian maybe....) and already have an analogue satellite receiver with a motorised dish...and it all needs upgrading to HD!!

    Any suggestions or experience?
    Thanks

    TM6900COMBO

    Hi

I have used the TM6900HD COMBO for a few years now. I am pleased with it but in reality I find it hard to get many HD channels apart from the UK ones. I can get some demo ones but nothing worth watching. BBC HD is great and ITV 1 when they show anything. The advantage is that I can get CH4 HD by swapping my card from my s_y box to the TM every so often....it needs updating in the original box but seems to last for months in the TM. Picture quality v good and easy to set up. Also, my external HDD is a Freecom XXL. Works flawlessly with no ext power.
