On a few websites it has reached 250 + P&P or 300+ Euro to be honest for a few extra quid you could get yourself a dreambox 500 HD with over ten years of support from the manufactuer and 6-8 years of fourm based support, with multi Image downloads, Application & Emulators from a receiver brand that lead the way not follows.

Itgate who are making this receiver for Technomate have very little support as there history has shown & with Technomate not even listing there Linux models on their official website there will be very little support for this TM800 model as well.

If you are considering buying a TM800 give it a few months, as this will break your heart if you are coming from a Dreambox or other better equiped or supported receivers.

its not linux m8, it runs the same menus as the 3000 series, and has a slot for a 2.5" sata drive to plug into the front as well

Anybody got one? I ordered one ages ago but with all the delays I cancelled it a bought a crappy spider box. not a bad box but no epg other than now and next so I am still looking for a decent cheapish hd box with a full 7 day epg.

the Tm800 are out so all the people who pre ordered them should have them / recive them soon. there are still a few things to be sorted out, but the UR team are working hard on it.

Theres more than a few things that need sorting out. Try googling tm800 and see all the issues.
Tbh though I expect them to eventually get sorted out but tm are using the end user to sort their issues out.
Without people like digidude they would be in a bit of hot water

As Manic01 says, there is more than a few bugs, so much so that the original release image was scrapped and the machine was shipped with an absolute minimum set of features.

As it stands just now, off the top of my head these are the missing bits..

                          No PVR.
                          No Web Interface.
Many buttons on the remote are not mapped.
                          Cannot switch Audio streams.
                          Cannot switch aspect ratio.
Selecting a Static IP address crashes the machine.
                          No Media Playback.

.....and a lots of other things.

The good news is that these are being added almost daily, but it does mean a complete reflash of the system.

The other good news is that ccCam is excellent on the box and the picture is superb.

Manic01 is also correct in saying that WE are the beta testers.

Anyone get a free wifi adapter? Technomate UK - Your digital partner for life

First 500 is a small amount as there seems to be a couple of thousand Beta testers.

Its not good especially since Itgate who are making this rebranded Technomate 800 HD have not released there model yet ! The Itgate TGS300.

So Technomate 800 Owners you are the tester for Itgate aswell, The Itgate Version of this receiver is said to be just around the 200 pound mark so once again owners (or soon to be ) of a Technomate 800 HD can start to feel a little hard done by.

Reason why the Itgate TGS300 has not been released ! from there official website / Fourm waiting for software coders to finalize OS, I suppose by this the Image !

Technomte does not see the need for all this waiting around ! pretty funny from one of the UKs best know receivers companys and the No 1 Patchable receiver for many a year.
