A little help if you please...what format does the hard drive record in on a 6900 .....would like to try putting on 64 gig memory stick and trying play back..tried several but no workee..the recording format may help me ...tks

.TRP file is main mpeg4 file on tm6900hd.Use "TS DOCTOR" to fix stream then convert to whatever format you want with "XILISOFT VIDEO CONVERTER.
Some .TRP,s can be loaded straight into "XILISOFT" and others fail that why I also suggesting "TS DOCTOR" to playback on pc or dvd player.
If just playing back on 6900 then I would suggest a SONY mem stick.That only one that works with mine.I tried a few with no success.Comment

I use sandisk sticks to record on no probs on a tm6800, I"m a bit of a technophobe and just format them in the usb menu 1st and they record/playback fine.Comment

Ok guys thanks...but what if i want to take a recording
from somewhere else ..not from a recording from the 6900..
say a downloaded mpeg and put it on the sandisk will
the 6900 see it and play...i have no problems with putting
jpeg or mp3 on a usb stick but the avi or mpeg {not recorded from 6900} cannot be seen..am i creating confusion...i usually do...Comment
