TM5200+USB Help

Hi all,

Until last Saturday all I had was a basic Thomson box which I was using for freesat. But at a car boot sale I was persuaded to buy a Technomate 5200 + USB. Baring in mind I have no experience of satelites what so ever, the guy I bought it off said it was the "all singing, all dancing model" and that I didn't need to do anything with it apart from plug it in - which I have done & bought a memory stick and it is wonderful, apart from the fact I cant seem to find certain channels like BBC4, Five USA and SKY3 - which I could pick up with my old Thomson. Can anyone help me with this please? Also is there anything else that I can do with it? Sorry if I sound like a complete numb nut.

Rescan the satellite. But sky3 wont open as it is a freesat/freeview channel and soft encrypted. If you were only going to use this for sky on 28.2e then not a lot of use to you. Also epg is crap for sky.

Its just as "fearona" says,but if you do want to do more with it eg: get another dish and even a motor for it there are a lot of satellites to explore,and plenty of site members to help you just ask,in the meantime I"d have a read of the red sticky section which will give you some idea of whats involved.
