    8280 opens biss menu

and 8281 opens newcamd menu. i have a 6900 super with latest 714 patch and as far as i can see appear to opening all that is expected 5w 1w 4.5e 13e 19.2e and 23.5e ,and as stated in the title 8280 and 8281 opens the relevant menu page ? my question is how do i know if the biss channels/ slots are doing anything as all the channels /lines appear to be showing off ,do they need to be on?and how do you turn them on. are they doing anything, are each of the lines for one channel or one transponder or all channels from one broadcaster.
my other question, cas menu-different softcams open a different amount of slots over the last month or so we have gone from 27 slots to 36 to 58 and i think now we are back to 27? is it just from the originators receiver and is it that these other slots at some time opened other encryptions
i am more than happy with what i can open but i am keen to learn more of the capability of this receiver and would like to understand if the biss are doing anything.
i have read on other threads about inputing biss keys- pick an empty line- what if there is'nt an empty line?
if anyone can help and suggest a channel i could open that would be appreciated

    cas menu

hi m8, although i dont own a tm6900 i can give you a bit of help. as for the different encryption methods in the cas menu you are correct in saying that at one time some of the systems. eg irdeto/nag1/via1 used to open alot of channels and are redundent now. the only encryptions that you need to be concerned with are nag2(2011,c102) seca(0030,002a,0086), viaccess(0074)viaccess 2.6(020820,020810,023b00,021120,021110,), cryptoworks(0d0030,0d03a0) and the *** viasat keys are buried in the patch. you wont need to alter any of these keys as when there is a key change you just load the latest softcam via the usb port/pen drive. as for the b.i.s.s channels there are quite a few that are active and to check them just go to a active biss channel and find the key in the menu and save the key(press exit on the channel and save), some of the keys will be out of date and you can delete them if you wish. a simple channel to try the biss system on is sat2000 on 9 east and the key has 3 number 2,s and 13 number 0,s. get yourself a up to date list of biss keys and check them off on your system switching on the active keys and deleteing the inactive ones entering the new ones where needed making sure you are on the required channel you are trying to open when you enter the key. a tm softcam should do most of the work for you were keys are concerned but now you have a bit better idea of whats involved, hope ive helped a little m8,good luck

        still need advice

        cheers mdt and fearona.
should my 6900 tell me which keys are active or do you mean i should find this from an uptodate list?
i have checked s2k (if that is sat2000 u referred to) on 9e and the encryption is shown unknown but my receiver opens it and when i open the biss menu all the lines are full but none have 3x 2s and 13x 0s? any ideas ?
my next question is, is it the channels that show encryption unknown that the biss keys are likely to open or do some biss keys open channels no matter what encryption?
my biss menu page has 40 lines that are open and like i said earlier they are all full ?again is it a matter of get the uptodate list and delete the ones not on the list.(bearing in mind that if they are not on the list i would'nt know if they are acive)

Hi mdt, you are very passionate indeed about replying, helping, explaining ....I know many people like myself like that, why don't you YouTube all of your answer/s with a camera, tv and a receiver etc..., then everytime someone ask a question about say for example say about how to add TP or Update Firmware or Data Transfer, Cass Menu or patching etc...etc..etc... then you send them the link on YouTube /12345asdfgh etc.. it save you lots of time and it make it very easy for the future, while filming on the camera how to patch, you show a usb in your hand you put in your laptop download the file put it on the usb remove it, open your STB (Set Top Box) receiver put your usb in, click on menu with your remote control then USB, click on Data Transfer, then click on the patch follow the on the screen the receiver will switch off then back on wait etc..etc..etc...

By the way I'm in London, if you do not have the equipments (Camera, Programmers, Cams Omnia Card, Blank Cards etc...) I can Provide that ! thats no problem, we can sort something out don't worry!

what do you think? mdt or any other Ladies or Gents out there who want to help? YouTube all the Answers?

let me know or any other input is greatly appreciated......

if you want to put biss keys to a particular channel,
go to that channel and press 8280 on your technomate remote control and that will open up a box with a all the biss numbers on that channel,
find a empty slot and put in your 32 digits and save and exit.
this can also be done with dcw keys.
