You can open Digi tv package on 1 west and arqiva on 5e andsct on 13e and a few other odd channels.
If not motorised you will struggle to find anything worthwhile open other than fta channels.

Thanks for the response, I have just the basics I guess; TM6900hd, 60cm dish and have uploaded the latest patch and softcam. All I am able to access is fta channels! Interested in being able to view european french, italian to russian channels for sports (football) and films ideally, any ideas?
          Thanking you all in advance

the patch and softcam will do as "fearona" has said but also as he suggested you will need to motorise and get a bigger dish most will say a 1mt but a 90cm or 80cm(if your not too far north)will do.suggest a technomate 2600 as a good motor.you will get all the help you need on this site to setup.then if you have a clear view of the southern sky you will get languages from arabic to ukrainian. on a variety of satellites.

              I have seen a technomate 2600 and a 90cm dish, do i need a diseqc switch? Also do i need a new/different type LNB?
              Thank you once again

no you do not need a switch but you will need a universal lnb as the one off a sky dish is no good for normal dishes.LNBs are cheap enough(you dont need a dear one)and where you get the dish should be able to supply you with one.you will also need at least 4 F-plugs and enough satellite cable for the run and the cable between the dish and motor.have a read on how to install a motorised dish inthe sticky section for general satellite.and I"m sending a quick install guide of mine that I"d download using "firefox"
