Help! Memory error message when patching TM-5200D

    Hi guys

Hope you can help! I have a TM-5200D (non super) and downloaded the latest patch. I followed the instructions by extracting the file and moving this it onto my USB stick. I kept the channel on a free-to-air channel and inserted the USB stick into my receiver then turned receiver on. I go on to doing the data transfer but as soon as I select the file, an on screen message comes up: "Memory error". I have tried a few different USB sticks to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

Factory reset and try again. Making sure you have the exact patch for your model ie non super. Save any settings before doing this.

Thanks for response. I tried full factory reset and scanned a few free to air channels. However, no luck with patch as same error message appears. Anything else I can try?

How do you format the memory stick in the box? If you mean my USB memory stick, it is already FAT32. When transferring file, I can see the patch file but when selecting it, the "memory error" message appears. I have tried a few different types of memory sticks to no avail.

Thanks hoggy952. As I'm a newbie to all this, can I double-check that I should use the same (latest) magicpatch file to do this via the loader, as you would by USB?

              Many thanks

Thanks for the advice everyone. I managed to patch my TM-5200D via the RS232 cable. As my box was not patched before, I could not patch via USB. However, after patching via cable method, I could easily load softkeys using the USB method.
