    dish not driving to sat

have a tm5400ci super & for some reason will only find 1w,been ok for ages, but when i scan for sat it does not find it?i am using tm 2200 motor,i have other receivers & had them looped to it,now runs on its own not moving when changing sats(usals)but moves when disceq selected, but still does not find sat? do i need to set dish & motor again,is it out of alignment?

    dish problems

hi and welcome. why not try a factory default and start from scratch again with just your tm5400 connected to the motor and set the motor to zero then enter your long and lat settings , drive the dish to thor and then do a channel scan . now try to scan 5e and 5w to see what happens as this requires very little movement of the motor. its very unlikely that your dish is out of alignment unless there has been very heavy winds in your area. if you still cant get any channels then the culprit is either the connections, cable or lnb. how many stb,s have you been running on the lnb loop? as this could have caused the problems. report back to let us know whats happened and the guys on here will try to help you sort your problem. regards. mdt.

try resting the motor it self

i think on your motor you have a small pin hole next to one of the buttons that that you use to drive it manually put a small paper clip in the hole for a few seconds and the light will flash to say its reset might help
ps have the motor on zero first
