Just got hold of a Techno 5400ci+ usb super+ box,is there any satellite that I can watch live saturday 3pm football on with this box.Is there awebsite where we can put an rs 232c cable from a laptop to the above named box to download anything to watch for free,possibly the thor satellite?

Master reset or not

On a 5400ci not super..... had used patch and keys last year, tried today with new patch and ltest keys and turned digi au off, waited and nothiing.....
Shall i master reset or not and if so do i lose my motor settings

hi m8, you could go to the cas menu and select n***a2, id 2111/2001 for digi-tv and enter the key manually its key 00 at the moment. if you do a factory default you will lose all your settings.

When i go into key edit..scroll across to *agravision, come down to ident, choose *igiTv (2001) On the next below row under ident its 10 then 16 Alpha/Num keys.. You say enter 00 manually but is that on the left panel of 10, 11, 20,21 etc or to the right in the 16keys part.........

enter the first 16 digits in row 10 and the second in row 11 and then store

enter in 10, 11 keys 00000000 etc and nothing opening on digi or anywhere else, im thinking reset, system info now reads TM-5400 CI+USB S/W 1.74P JAN26 2010 H/W 1.10 BOOT 1.12 (08:20) CH FEB:09
Reason im thinking reset is last year with all the patches and key updates somethings jamming up, as after loading patch system shuts down and reboots ok but then does not recognise usb stick to enter keys and jams up.
So have to switch off and power up. then recognizes usb stick and allows keys to be uploaded. This was not the case when its was new and functioning... Losing motor settings is no big deal, only need to scan 30w1w13e19e28e 1hr and done.
Open to suggestions tho

if your not to botherd about re-scanning sats and so on then why not do a full factory re-set then re-patch your stb, turn the digi au function off and then reload the softcam. sometimes receivers are tempremental and starting from scratch with a fresh install/patch/softcam can cure the problem. regards mdt

Just to let you know have done a master reset this morning
Loaded patch n keys succesfully
Opening whats left to be opened on 1W
However on motorised settings there is only one sat to scan 1W? In the drop down there is only one sat to view, yet in the manual scan all sats are to be seen.
Moral is a master reset does take out the BUGS of patching etc.

Newbie... with a Q..
I have a TM 5400 ci usb, I have a dish pointed at Astra 19East which pics up a lot of channels which are $ locked,
Is there any patch available or something i can download to the receiver to unlock channels???

Basically your best route is to read the thread Noobs guide to patching your Technomate by JaCkPoT
Then download lastest patch posted by Manic01 26/01/2010
Make sure you download the 5400 Magicpatch then go to menu,usb,transfer, scroll down to the Magicpatch, click OK to install, wait for the reciever to update and reset. Then same process with that latest keys but instead of clicking OK to install, press the yellow button to upload the keys then your done. patched and latest keys...two points do all the above on a freesat channel and secondly best point your dish to 1West as more clearing, hope thats of help, but all you need is here in the forum,happy days.

what exact model box do you have and what dont you understand in the guides in the sticky section.

If using usb model technomate just load via usb stick. If not use darkman loader and rs232 cable.
You cannot load a softcam unless a patch is already loaded just so you know.
Also press 2004 on remote in system info to activate patch if turned off.

i have Technomate 4500 ci+ USB
Every time i upload the patch file to the usb and try to download it to the reciver the when i press data transfer it dosn't read any thing from the usb as its blank,i try to change the usb still the same problem,

another question ,how you turn the digi au off and what is it exactly?
