uboot menu

i have a tm500 and i want to update with null modem cable which i have tried with no luck. when looking through manual it says with ac power switched off hold the ok button and switch ac power on to get uboot menu but does not happen. i have seen this menu before but cannot remember how i got it. hope someone can help me thanx in advance

Keep UP pressed when you turn on receiver mate instead of OK.

thanx for that mate but my box will not power up when i press up and power up at same time
