its looking more and more like a bucket of shit if you ask me and I'm sick of this release date put back another 2 weeks.....total rubbish,Technomate and the crowd supporting this should pack it in and let the pro's do the hd receivers and stick to the tm500/600's themselves.
Got my hands on a DM800 this week and its hard to beat that receiver and has proper images/good support and does what it says on the tin.....even the clones.T'was well marketted and the nabilo images are spot on and not thrown together to coincide with a release date, blah blah.
          Dream multimedia rocks.....end of.

Point taken......However if you have not got that much money to spend, its impossible to get a original DM800 with a price bracket of ?250 ish. I know you can get clones, but i hear many different opinions about clones, and you will get no warranty with a clone. As i have 2 of the cheapest linux based stb's around, i can say that the TM600 is a far superior box compared to a clone DM500s. Unless anyone has actually had a TM800HD its impossible for any opinions to be made.....Lets give them a chance.

Not getting into a dispute on who's box is better but any clone seller worth his salt would include in inline amp with the receiver, yes the tuner can be dodgy but its to be expected from clones but good ones at that and only 180 euro shipped. Why issue a release date for anything unless everything is ready for public use and beta testers are happy to leave it out there, its nothing to do with bottle it plain lack of professionalism and doesnt look good for the product or the company......1st unit blew up the other day with new firmware on, thats why theres a hold up again!!
                Bet you didnt know that..........

It didn't blow up and we know who had it as well .
But its far from the finished article.
TM have dropped a bollock on this one.
Release date was last july to start with.
Maybe july before this is sorted but what july

TM dropped a bollock? don't talk crap. Maybe the release date has slipped from whenever, but, i would rather have a TM that actually works right. The 9100 was a disaster, and the 600 is a total joke, mine lasted 6 months before it cooked itself, i swore blind that i would never buy a TM again, but, am eagerly awaiting the 800. Also, i have it from the horses mouth that it has slipped due to the Volcanic Ash situation.
As for DM's, i would never buy a genuine DM on the principle of their ludicrous prices, i have had several clones, and all have worked better, and the clone 500 i have at the moment is of better quality that the original.
Now if DM had priced their new 500 at a sensible price, say ?250, there would be no need for anybody to buy clones, but, no...they went for the greed, and in time, the 500 and 8000 will be cloned, and, i personally give thanks for that.

Stop taling crap mate, the tm release date is 15 may. This is due to software issues.
TM600 is a good piece of kit, never had an issue with it.
"Due to an issue with software, the release of the TM800HD has been delayed untill 15/5/2010. While stock is available, we are unable to dispatch untill AFTER 15/5/2010. Again, this is due to incomplete software for this receiver, the hardware is unaffected. Orders received will be dispatched from monday 17/5/2010."

This is from a beta tester.

Why didn't you send the TM600 back if it only lasted 6 months ?? Have you ever heard of the sale of goods act 1989 ? If i ever purchased a item that failed within 6 months and i struggled to get my money back, i would never entertain buying from that manufacturer again. You are saying that the TM600 is a joke, Why ? Also insulting other fellow users by saying they are talking crap is not that nice....I know who i beleive, and it isn't a person who has only made a couple of posts.

Some people suffer from the syndrome called "onlyseedream," and so I know there is no cure for it, so not even worth trying to change that ...

The only thing the TM / Itgate need are drives / modules more compatible with dvb_api_3. Made by who knows. That's it!

                          The rest are story tales.

I have to agree that TM lost a lot of credibility with the TM9100, mainly because of a batch of bad power supply boards, but also because a number of third party software images came out with bugs, and incomplete upgrade processes - especially when hopping from one image provider to another. Finally quality images like EDG4.4 arrived and the box became almost boring in its reliability. Mine has worked faultlessly for the past 15 months, even with such experimental software as a 'C' interpreter and additional load libraries running alongside the standard image.
