Newbie knows diddly about sat system

I have just bought a technomate 6900 hd combo super +
Thought I just plugged in and watched Sky movies etc. Thats how new I am. Is there a step by step guide to unscrambeling one of these in complete novice terms

Its much more complicated look around the internet for more information but yes if you wanted sky you have kind of wasted your money. The sat hobby is expensive its not just about free tv as in the cable world. In the sat world nothing good is completely free for long.

If you dont want the hastle of having to mess around with technical stuff I suggest a subscription would be much easier and possibly cheaper.
