TM 500 tuner prob

just scanned in the MGM channel on 10E that "tommy"posted in the general sat section and picked it up straight away with my old TM1000d no probs but try as I might my TM500 wont receive it even though its on the same dish.I entered the details in the manual satellite scan panel and got a tick for lock & sync ok but on scanning got nothing.anyone any ideas.

i know this is probably a daft question but are you searching for a fta channel or all?

Have you had a look via DB Edit or on you box via the Satlist menu under new services.

It might be there but listed as "!Unnamed Services" or !New Service" and have a number rather than the chanel name.

I only picked up anb,sat7,al jazeera & al forat on a full scan, there is nothing listed in new services,as said above I"ll have another play with it.

ps my tm6800 also picked it up ok.

Yeah found prob I couldnt even get a lock to-day.the tm500 is a lot more sensitive to dish alignment than the 1000d it needed just a 0.2 shift on the usals longitude to bring it in.as all other sats were ok I didnt even consider dish alignment to start with.

I had to do the same mate.

just purchased one of these boxs ..cheap and orignal.

anyway took 15 mins to set up .. no bother , and had been fine ..



but but .

what a shame , three times i have had to change image , all of a sudden i get no lock on the sly satellites .

now i know the dish is ok cause i just put me horizon meter on and its has good quality readings ..also i bang my dm 600 straight in and hey presto straight on.

tuner prob must be ..

shame cause they are cheap ..and are alot more stable than the old software on the tm9100 with the likes of julliet etc .


even e mailed the seller and he dsen want to know ..

its working at the mintue but for how long more i dont know.


ive got about 2 months from this box and im not happy

just my luck to get a dud//
