newbie in need of help please !

Hi all, help needed please, I now have no where left to turn.
My aim is to set up the following equipment to watch football / sports, I have re flashed the diablo cam quite a few times now but to no effect, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Satellites tuned into hotbird 13E + eurobird 9E, signal quality in the 90's on both satellites, FTA channels on both satellites picked up. (also tried dragon cam with fun card 7 with no joy)
Current tech spec of equipment being used : - 1 meter fixed dish, Technomate TM-1 universal single LNB, TM 5400 CI super, Diablo cam 2.3 loaded with UW 194
please note my mate that lives round the corner has a TM 1500CI with a 80cm fixed dish and using a diablo cam 2.3 loaded with UW 194 picks up the following channels digi sport, eurosport, eurosport 2 ce, sports 1 ro, digi sports plus, sports ro, sports klub hu, sports 1, sports 2, nova sports, digi sports hu, digi sports ro, eurosports 2, sports 1 sk -cz, ct4 ? sport, most importantly he has no knowledge at all about this system as I tuned it in with the diablo cam, and cannot repeat this process, any help at all is appreciated

you need a usb to download softcams

you can watch these channels on thor, for now at least.
dependant on what tm box you have. see patches on alsat-download the patch for your model and then your ok.

Thanks mate, I have tried loading a few patches but with no joy, TM model is 5400 CI super, is there something that I may not be doing correctly, cheers

13E & 9E are not much use with a patch you need to point your dish to Thor @ 1West to open digi tv while it still lasts.

ok,can you get the FTA channels on 1W(eg)BBC world @ 11.325 H 27500.if you have that ok and the patch loaded ok you now need to load a softcam to open Digi.try this one thanks to "technomate"

Thank you Dick B, I can get the FTA channels, and I have just tried the softcam keys, however, in the menu for the usb in data tranfer, I can see the file but it does not allow me to load it, I have a feeling I am missing something really easy that I should do but do not know what, any help on this issue is appreciated, thanks mate

You must have a patch loaded before a softcam can load.

Hi Manic01 and thank you for the reply, I have loaded the patch not sure if its correctly loaded the patch,s I have tried are the foloowing 5400ci_5600ci_176p_20100324 stb also tried 5400ci_5600ci_134p_20100324 stb, I have loaded both seperatley through the usb menu (data transfer) however, when attempting to load the softcam it does not load, I think I am not doing something I should be, thanks for your help it is appreciated,
with out wanting to accidently anoy anyone what does PM mean, please note I am very new to forums Doh !!! cheers mate

Guys Have finally figured it out but only with the help of the guys on this forum, for info, if you find yourself in the same situation as myself, take NOTE use firefox to download and not exploer, I would like to thank the guys that helped me, with out them it was getting close to putting all the sat gear in the bin, thanks again

glad your up and running now mate yes "firefox" is better for the downloads although you can do it with internet explorer even when it says file is corrupt.I posted elsewhere on this site on how to do it but its easier just to use firefox.PM just means personal message for when you want to talk to someone without going on open forum.

However, I would still like to find out more on how to load a diablo cam correctly, for info I have found loading the cam very easy using the Cas 2 + programmer, what I seem to struggle with is the TM box settings ?,

How much more is available to veiw using one of these cams?

I am sure I read in this forum that you cannot use both cam and patch at the same time, (i.e. use must turn the patch off) is this correct

I have read loads of different posts both in this forum and others, Duolabs web site seems to be a total waste of time, and they dont seem to support the diablo light 2.2 or 2.3
any ifo you can share with us is appreciated mate, thanks

Load latest patch posted today and then latest softcam and you will get canal digitaal on 19.2e
These irdeto channels only.

Also Digi tv on 1 west still.
