What channels can you get with Technomates

new to the sky thing can you guys tell me which would be the best reciever to buy, what channels are available and do i need to install a new dish or would my existing dish work

i take it you have a mini dish and unless you just want the chns from
astra 28e then you will need a new dish and receiver and as you've asked
about technomates, then this is what a standard box opens now the
encryptions are changing. you wont get very much now with a patched technomate it's mainly digi-tv on 1w and canal nl on 19e plus a few chns
on some of the satellites, and to get the best from any sat receiver
you need a motorised system with a 1 mtr dish if your hoping to get the sky chns you will need to pay for a official subscription for these channels,
depending on how much effort into this hobby the way forward is a linux receiver that way you can get most chns open. but it needs a lot of reading and getting help and advice

Upgrade from TM6900 , Which is best

Hi , Im looking to upgrade my TM6900 COMBO , to be fair the EPG is crap and such a pain to navigate.

Which receiver is best around the 300 quid mark , i would want a half decent EPG is possible and patchable etc ,

i have a mororized dish and all that
