Technomate TM5400 Plus - FEC query

I am new here and hope someone can help. I have a TM5400 super-plus with the latest software (116) from TM website. Am trying to get some channels with frequencies requiring 5/6 & 7/8 FEC.

My receiver seems to only have 1-4, i.e am getting channels with 2/3 & 3/4 FEC.

Is this receiver capable of getting / extending FEC (e.g by manually overriding) or does this mean I need a new receiver with such facility?

    PLEASE HELP.

Thanks for your reply. Not to my knowledge, when i was setting up channels, had to change the FEC setting manually between 2/3 N 3/4 to get as many channels from two different satellites as i have two lnbs. the channles am trying to get are from Astra 19E and all the googled frequencies i found are showing FEC 5/6

i dont own a tm5400 but im 100% certain that it will receive channels using the fec of 5/6 because the bbc/itv use it on 28.2east. have you tried a blind scan? as this should find all channels that are broadcasting. try the blind scan and report back if it works. regards mdt

                    Thanks.
that txp has switched from mpeg2 to mpeg4 and has also changed its beam pattern as it is now a spot-beam for the polish state channels(tvp1/2 ect) so is no longer receivable.
the fec is 7/8 now aswell. regards mdt
