Technomate 3000 Thor 2 3 1W Please help!

Hello everyone,
I hope you can help me to undestand better these issues or point me where I can find some information.

I had installed Thor 2 3 1w; previously I could watch apparently encrypted channels in Nagra. I just knew if it was nagra I could receive channels like discovery, national geografic, etc.

it happens that I can't watch anymore those channels and searching again for channels, it seems I lost those nagra channels I was interested in.

I don't know how to put back those channels and how to wath them as before with nagra. I am interested in channels in english.

I just learned about these concepts patches and loaders. I read the section how to install them into the receiver. I also read a thread mentioning similar problem that was solved with sat4fun which I don't know what that is.

what I imagine to do is to get those patches and those loaders for TM 3000 series and try to load them into my receiver . do you think this migh work? is this sat4fun part of it?

here m8 load this softcam via the tm loader and patch lead and some channels will clear. if you dont already know digi-tv are in the process of switching to nagra3 and this is why about half of the 160 or so channels are not open via softcam anymore and the rest will follow in the coming weeks. anyway if you have any problems just ask and welcome to dk. regards mdt

Oh the technomate 5300 D+ super usb, what a load of rubbish. it records onto usb and has a timer to record. whats the point when the machine only gets the now and next info? i cant check whats on later. it has no interactive button. the red button brings up the picture menu. so i cant even look on there. its just a poor thought out machine. sadly also its made in the UK. makes sence now why its so rubbish...

2. buy a freesat box for the red button
3. you can change your settings so it doesn't turn off

The tm non linux stb's are great box's m8, now and next epg is all you will get on any non offical free sat box ... without a plugin. I still have my tm5400 super usb and its a grand box, me not think you have it set up right, and maybe a little bit of reading up before diving in and buying would save a ton of heartache later on.

you will not get interactive services with this type of box.all TM boxes give good results for what they are designed to do,you have got an excellent box which will take official cards and is also patchable.(by the way they are designed in the UK but made in Korea).If you want interactive services you need as said to buy an official box.

ok thanks, the guy in the shop said it was patchable, and can take sky cards etc, but i looked for patches and cant see anything any advice would be great,

go to Download center for all patches & softcams Bulsat 39East will give you over 50 channels.I dont use sky cards so cant advise.

well thanks for the site it is indeed pactches , but this goes over my head, why would i want to patch,
what i mean, is: what do these patches do, i updated it with one update, it has not changed anything on the box but one thing, before the update, when i put the sky card in, it said invalid smart card, now it says (Card+) though still none the wiser about what it did, i really only got the box because it can record, but many people have told me its a fantastic little machine. and i got wondering why not have a look into all this patching and stuff, so any simple advice really would help me, thanks guys!

yikes! whats 39e mean?
saying that the updates have not done anything, i just seen something diffrent. when i turn on the box it used to display the technomate logo for a couple of sec's... now it dont, it just turns on with no logo,

i cant help but think that this box can have the codes edited to view premium channels, if ya get my meaning,
