I haven't had satellite for 10 years.
I had a chaparral menterey in those times.
Is the technomatic as adaptable as the old monterey.
inputs. outputs. interfaces. modules etc.?

Well I would suggest a Dreambox 8000 HD if cost isnt an issue but the new 500 HD box is said to perform better than it and is much cheaper, you can never go wrong with a Dreambox as the support is great (just realised this the Technomate section)

if you dont mind being ripped off then look at the dm8000, but as i said have a look at the vu+duo as it has almost as many features for 600 pounds less!. regards mdt

Well I would suggest a Dreambox 8000 HD if cost isnt an issue but the new 500 HD box is said to perform better than it and is much cheaper, you can never go wrong with a Dreambox as the support is great (just realised this the Technomate section)

According to sat shop on here, there are issues with the DM500 hd
VU is solid from what i hear.

DM8000 is ?800+ and no better.

I have an 2 800 HD's one ia a clone I have no issues with either of them mainly because the support is superb, not sure if there is issues with the 500 HD but it does have a faster processor and am told it runs better than any other dreambox, as for the 8000 I totally agree its over priced I could not or would not buy one but if someone says 'Cost isn't really an issue' then I would recommend one, I have also heard very good things about the VU + DUO box
