Just got a TM 600 Advice please

Hi Guys just taken delivery of a tm600.

I know nothing at all about linux boxes so please bear with me.
I have donw plenty of reading and I know how to flash a new img and how to get that to update using the blue botton.

What I want to know though is how to get it to connect to the internet.

I have connected it with a lan cable to my router a bt homehub 2 but I have no idea how to configure it.

I hope someone can help in simple terms

Lo m8 ...

press menu > set up > expert set up > communications set up

You now have the screen to enter all your info. Auto config has never worked for me with a tm600 ... so unselect DHCP ...

Enter a IP like this ... 192.168.0.6 (the last number can be anything you like as long as it is diffrent to any other device on your net work.

The rest of the info you can find on your routers set up page :

netmask
nameserver
gateway

press the red button to save this set up info.

Now press Lan > blue button on your remote ... if you are connected to the inter net you should be able to see the latest firmware available for download. If not re check the info you in-putted from your routers set up page and try again.
