password change

hi all, i am trying to telnet onto my tm600 using putty but i am getting an login incorrect error. my question is 2 fold:
1: does the password reset after a fresh install of the latest UR image?
2: can i reset the password fron the box?

To change the box password you first press the menu button.
Then select setup.
In set up select changing box password.
Then change the password to what ever you want.

thanks mate, does this change the password for entering the blue button or the password when I'm trying to telnet?

in answer to my own question... yes it does change the p/word for telnet etc.

but i'm still getting an incorrect login error.... any ideas guy's?

ok guy's i still need help please. I have changed the password on the box itself but am still getting the same error when i try to telnet. If i change the password using TCC i get the following error.

any ideas all yoou clever people?? or will a factory reset work?

sorted, retrieved IP again,opened port and changed password on the box and hey presto it worked

Hi Mate, all i did was press the lan button on the tm600 remote then scroll to the bottom of the page where you can retrieve IP and open port. Then using the Tm600 remote again go into menu,settings and change password. you then must make sure (if you are trying to telnet to your box, as i was) that the DCC software on your PC has the same user and password as you that just set on your box.
