Hi

Its been a while I been to DK. Hope everyone is doing great.

Well, Cable R.I.P now and I have to revert back to Sat.

What I have got:
80cm Motorised
Technomate 1500 CI Super+
Broadband
Northwest Area

What I can do:
Used to patch the TM box for Premier before (Thanks to Benny)

What I am evaluating:
TM500 Super Linux or
TM600 Linux (Does it come in Super ??) or
DM500s Linux (don't know if they are super as well !!)

What I want to know:
Price
Stability
Userfriendlyness
Above all - Which one would you prefer (I am an average joe with basic understanding of TM boxes and haven't had any play around with Linux based box before, having said that I am good at computers so wouldn't be problem for technical side)

I really appreciate your help.

hi m8,
even with these boxes unless you join a c/s group
they wont open anything more than your tm but i think
if your going to upgrade i would think about a HD receiver
as more and more chns are now in HD as for the tm boxes
they are all user friendly and pretty much bomb prove so if
you get a problem they can be restored, but as you know
there's not much opem with patches cams and cards thats
why a lot are looking in to linux and the receivers with gift chns like
protek,nanno,uni box and spiderbox receivers. i just hope others post
and offer there views help and advice, but as always it comes down
to what you want to spend and if you are looking for something thats
more or less plug and play i have just ordered a dreambox 500 HD box
and once it comes i will drive everyone mad with questions ,
i suggest you do the same and then you will get the right box first time.

Thanks for the reply and hope you doing great.

Only reason I asked for this three cos, went to this local shop y'day and he told me DB will cost about 190 and TM will set me back 210. I recon he may have included the c/s price ?? Do you think so..?? As when I looked up the prices for this boxes they seem to be around under 100.

I will deffo take your view on HD, having said that haven't got HD telly yet.

hi catta81,digi tv is down its changed its encryption to n3 so not much chance of gettin that,unless you have a linux box ? and connected to cs

hi guys, ive got a tm 6800hd and im not picking up ANY hd channels on 39 east, i checked with lingsat and it gave me 2 tranponders which suppose to be hd but no luck,are any of you guys picking up HD channels 39 east,please post list ,cheers badboy1965

hi saint-sal,welcome to dk, depends on what you want to spend on a sat box, ive got a tm 6800hd it cost me ?150 off ebay but have seen them lately at ?130,if your clued up on linux try tm500 tm600 or tm8000hd all good boxes with plenty of help. im watching pl on 39 east 3 o,clock football games some great channels on. films, sport,adult ,discovery x4,cartoon network,disney,mtv plus more
