Tm6800 restore

Hi, I am a newbie to all things satellite so please be patient with me.
I have a tm6800Hd and feel ready to start fiddling with patches and cams.
Before I make any changes is it possible to backup the tm6800 in case i mess up the origional software configuration. I assume the factory reset would be inadequate for this.

You can upload your channels etc using the darkman loader.
Latest patches always inc latest original updates so theres no probs.
