technomate TM500

I'm tempted to but a TM500 as a second receiver
for my bedroom, whats making me go in this direction
is i have a dm500hd and just sold a tm5400 and know
TM make good solid boxes. I dont want a cloned DB
as i had 1 and thought it was pretty crap.

Is the TM500 an easy box to set up, could i share my
sly card between that and my 500hd.

I think i'd rather buy an original TM than a cloned
db......is this the right direction i'm heading.

Got all my answers and did some reading and to me
this seems a better buy than a db clone.

Any good channel lists available for this ? i'm using it for the moment on my sky sly dish ?



Setting up was no problem and got the free channels
in no time, flashed a gemini image on it and it flashed
ok using the stb cable THEN i discover the remote wont
work so i'm now on a ur image and just scanning 28e again the remote thing seems to be an issue as i
read a few with this problem.

Looks like a great picture and good sound and so far i'm
pleased with it. Between a 500s clone and this tm the
tm has to be a better buy because TM are a long
established firm and that 5400 i had never gave me 1
problem.
cccam 214...can this be d/l and use DCC to load it ?

download ur server
download my server
The UR server does not show the cccam 214
The MY server at CAM Bin Only has cccam 214 bin
when i d/l this it i cant see it to change it.

I'm pretty new having only had my dm for a few months
and only used cccam214 and i was used to that.
Is ccc2104 just as good is it usable for clines ?
With this cam installed i cant see a cccam config file
in the var/ect in DCC just a bit lost.

Also o d/l a channel list which i can see through my TV
but on the UR site you can stream to VLC and i can see
the list any ideas. Faves show on the UR site but not
on my TV.


BUT so far i'm happy and these little things dont bother
me as long as i fix them. Its like your 1st PC you dont
learn it by letting others fix your PC woes.
