here is a channel editor for TMs mate I havent used it but start off by clicking on "file" then open and browse for where you have your channel list stored.(I bet its all that blind searching)

yeah a bit daunting arent they, thats why I do my sorting in the box.its easier for me.If you put a usb stick in the box and go to the data transfer menu you will see the option to upload channel(think its the red button)this will put all the sats and channels on it.then transfer this cndf file to your computer.
open channel editor click file>open fromthe window that opens find the cndf file click on it then open from the L/H list click on the + sign of a sat then a + sign of a TP and the channels of that TP will open right click to see options.once all deleting is done click view>channel list & how to use at the bottom.
your best bet would be to delete all channels in the factory re-set menu and start again but dont use the blind search function, then you can sort the channels on the box.
I have a really good channel that I do use on my spiderbox but unfortunately thats no good to you.

PS forgot to say once you have finish go back to"file"& save.

This program is no easier or faster to use than it is using the stb menu. If some one has gone through the channel lists on 28.2e and taken out all the crap then post the .cndf file for others to load, then this program would be useful. Using the stb menu has the bonus that you can see the channel clear on the rh/top window, so you can easily identify if a channel is scrambled, not being used, etc when deciding to delete.
