Unable to ADD new sats on 5200DsuperUSB

Hi All, Have searched everywhere, having trouble adding unlisted sats on my newly purchased 5200 usb super. Cannot find a way in the Menu system to add new position or name.

Is it me being stupid( has software 116-Aug2009 onboard)

    (good forum!) Ozz

go into satellite set up scroll through the sat list til you come to an empty space 0.0---- press green button to put sat position & name sat then save>exit>motorised setting>diseqc motor=usals>sat degrees(enter the sat position here).exit to full screen & that sat should then be on your list. What sat are you after? the list in the box is pretty comprehensive.you will also have to add the TPs you want.

Thanks Dick for reply. My prob is whatever I enter with the remote to put position and then sat name, comes out on screen as 0.0E followed by position and name. So when I try to further it it is showing0.0E and picks out Thor!! Try putting a position in for yourself, to see if its my 5200 thats adrift. Its great apart from that!! Lousy handbook tho!

I hope I explained it ok OZZ

yeah I have re-read my other post and it is a bit misleading(not as bad as the korean/english instruction book though) just tried it on my tm6800 and it does work ok.
when you have put the name of the sat you want in the top line of satellite setup(dont put sat degrees here that will show automatically but it doesnt matter if you do)save and exit>motorised settings>sat degrees, put the satellite position in here and exit go to advanced search put an active TP and sym rate in and the correct polaritythen press scan and the dish (if on usals)will move to that sat and scan.you can also change the name and position of a sat already installed that way say 75E or one of the other outer ones.
What sat are you after?if on scanning the receiver does not pick up any thing it will not be placed on your sat list but will still be in the boxes memory.

Oh all right then , as youve been so helpful I will tell you!! Couple of days ago, a feed was reported (re footers) on 3.0E, a sat I had never seen or heard of. As this TM5200 is new to me, I tried to add it, with no result. I have since found out that its an inclined orbit Sat, so would have been of no use, but I didnt know that then! I will try another later on and let you know Dick!!

Ta again OZZ PS --Bulsats changed keys again :-((
