optical output tm 500 super

Hi all, ive got tm 500 super, hooked up to my av receiver, however only channels that produce sound are ones like sky movies etc... most dont produce sound
with scart all channels sound ok, please help!

Not many sky channels carry 5.1 etc movies etc do.

aware of this my dvd recorder pushes everything connected to it out through a single optical with sound on every channel
as does my tm 5400 super!
