hi guys,

i have a tm1000ci with the current firmware:15/2/2005 s/w1.24, h/w 1.11,boot 1.00

how do i upgrade the firmware? and what cable do i need?

9 pin female to 9 pin female with usb to serial convertor

9 pin female to usb?

i have a laptop with windows 7 which doesnt have serial

any feedback is appreciated

read the "noobs guide to patching your technomate"in the red sticky section just above the std threads.
you will need a null modem serial cable and a serial to usb converter.I have never used a converter as the computer I use has an rs232 port but others will know how to use it,I believe it can be tricky if you dont know what your doing.
I"m sending the latest patch for your box and the softcam that should open bulsat on 39E canal digitaal on 19E and bis/fransat on 5W.make sure you understand it before starting.best of luck.
