tm500 and different routers ???

i got a tm500 as server and tried to set up another at my mother in laws but it wouldn't connect to the net !!!!
on the way home with it i stopped at a friend with a dish and broadband and tried it there and hey presto it worked !
the only difference is there router !!!
both have bt
but my mum has homehub 1 a white thing
and friend has black hub same as me

What am i missing here ??? is there a setting that i need to change in the router ?

did you make sure yhe dhcp had been ticked on the tm 500's network settings so it got the correct ip address?

yes mate the dhcp was ticked !

all sorted i was wiring the ethernet cable incorrectly !!!
