    Dish Not Moving

    Hello,

Happy New Year to you all at Digital Kaos.

My satellite isn't moving. It is stuck on Astra. No problem with picture quality or signal on Astra. I have a "TM6900 HD Combo Super Plus" box. I just looked at the TM user guide but this is useless. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    Warm regards,

    Johnny Wong

does it move if you press the manual button on the motor?or re-set the motor its a small pinhole near the LED it needs a thin rod to push it hold for a couple of seconds with the power on then turn off power before trying again.is the LED showing green with the set on.a steady orange light means something is wrong.if you have re-set your stb for any reason check you have re-entered your long/lat(do this 1st) disable any software limits.

      Hello Dick,

      Thank you for your reply.

Let's start with the first round of questions.....

You said "if you have re-set your stb for any reason check you have re-entered your long/lat(do this 1st) disable any software limits"....

      What is an STB?

How do I know what the long/lat should be?

How do I disable any software limits?

Here is some further information that may help resolve my issue.....

This happened a couple of days ago. The dish stopped moving. Then is just started to move again. The only difference this time is that when I attempt to switch to a difference satellite it doesn't say "moving to satellite ******" on the TV screen (which it did before).

Sorry to ask so many questions. I'm trying to find some info on the net as to how to reprogram the box but I can't find anything. Do you know where I can find this type of information. I suppose what I'm after is an "idiots guide".

I think in motor settings, maybe check it is on diseqc or usals. Sounds like it's set to off.

            All,

I managed to get the disk moving again. I had to enable the motor from the Technomate box and then muck around with the motorised settings (again on the Technomate box). I had to do this on each satellite configuration.

Thanks for your help. It is very much appreciated.
