I am trying to setup a TM500s for a friend but he lives in two terraced houses where the router is in house 2 (ground floor) and he wants it fitting in his bedroom in house 1. What is the best way to run a connection up to the receiver?
HOW CAN I RUN A CONNECTION FROM ROUTER?

I use a long cat5 cable to go from one floor to another and it works fine you can get them from 0.5mt right up to 50mt try www.cabling4less.co.uk.Last edited by dick b; 29 January, 2011, 14:05. -
easiest way would be to buy another router that can be set up as an 'Access Point' in his bedroom then a small cable to the STB or just run a cable (305 m max unless you use repeaters) if you make your own use shielded cable.Comment
