Tivusat card and tm 5200 d USB super

My partner is Italian so we should be able to get and register a tivusat card.

We don't have a card reader in our receiver but I know they can be retrofitted.

My question is which card reader do I need to buy. I know the card can be bought with the tivusat CAM but thus receiver does not have a CI slot either.

Hi, I don t know if this is going to help you but I have as well an original card from tvsat and (after I have activeted it in a original tvsat satellite box) I have just inserted the card on my technomate tm5400 (non super) card reader and since then I never had a problem.
Maybe you should try to sell your receiver and buy a second hand technomate with card reader and CI and just buy the card.......but then you could have the problem for the card activation (well I bought my card nearly 2 years ago and then they didn t sell the card on its own so I had to buy as well a tivusat satellite box
and then I remember them telling me that the activation is only possible with original tvsat satellite box but not sure this is actually true).
