tm500 flash problem

Been trying to update my TM500 using my browser but couldn't get the 2 numbers to show while holding down the power button just kept flashing green even after 10 trys, i did a factory reset 1st.

Press ok to start d/l
download start
start d/....wait
download header partheader magic is TM600 model name id TM500 size 6230016
header magic and model name not equal
header error

I was trying all sorts of images to get it flashed, i did try a gemini and it went all the way to d/l complete then when i fired it up the GP emblem appears on screen the screen kind of jumps the the GP emblem reappears stays like that.

Checked my ethernet cable by using a laptop and the cables ok.
any ideas anyone.

Also when i choose factory reset it goes right through
the reset to the wizard but the remote wont work.

this happened to my tm600 a while ago ...had to load the original image back using a null modem cable...there is a guide but i cant remember if it was on this site or not
