    MOTORISED DISH OUT OF LINE

    I THINK WIND HAS MOVED DISH SLIGHTLY,I HAVE TO MOVE DISH SLIGHTLY.ON USUALS I GET NO SIGNAL SO HAVE TO MOVE A COUPLE OF TAPS WEST TO GET SIGNAL BACK.
    IS THERE ANY WAY OF RESETTING DISH THROUGH RECEIVER???
    I HAVE A TM 680 HD
    ANY ADVISE PLEASE.

    im not familiar with techomates ma8 however speaking from experience i can always say that a dish is better to be manually set by going to the dish mate

      DID,NT REALLY WANT TO GET BACK UP ON THE ROOF THOUGH,BUT GUESS I WILL IF CANT ADJUST FROM RECEIVER...

        like i said mate i dont really know tm but i know if dish ahs moved u need to get on the roof no matter what receiver u have really buddy

          hi m8 if useing USUALS then maybe u can what is yur longitude seting if say 001.253 then try +001.600 just keep going + ontel you get it right

              yes mate as suggested if the wind hasnt moved it too much just alter your longitude setting in motorised settings 0.2 degrees at a time start off by doing it eastwards if you have to move the dish to the west. if its not too much you should still track the arc good enough.you can always re-align when the spring comes.but check the dish is still central on the motor spigot as well.

                Cheers Dick b,I will try what you suggest,thats what you get for mounting dish above roof height,no protection from the wind.
                I have to move 2 taps west in usuals settings and than switch off motor.

                  you could also switch to diseqc 1.2 then once you have found the sat "save" and it wont then return to its original position when you exit,just use usals to go to the sat position but changing your long as above should sort you out for a while.
