Vu+ Duo, advice on firmware & image

Hi all

I've just ordered my Duo, should have it by Weds!

Anyone guide me in the choice of Firmware & what Image to put on it?

I'm a complete newbie so gonna run it on my sky minidish until I get a motorised aswell.

i think most reckon the vic image is the best,some suppliers may flash it with what you ask,are you getting it with internal hard drive fitted first,before flashing it?

Have asked for VIX, I forgot about the hdd bugger.
You can tell I'm a newbie

if they have not sent it yet,contact them.hard drive needs to be inserted first before flashing so i believe.been a holiday it may not have left yet.

Personally I'm a Blackhole fan, I didn't get on with VIX.

You can install a HDD after the image with BH, just go into the setup menu and initialize the HDD from there and it sets up all the links as well.

you can do the exact same thing with ViX too. personally i'm a ViX user but then again i'm a ViX beta tester too. but hey different people different tastes.

I've got in coming weds VIX loaded. I haven't found a good deal on a Samsung HDD 1tb, anyone seen one for ?40ish? Cool runner
