vu+ solo wont flash properly

Hi

had a box back that was missing channels, I could ftp from it into dreambox_edit but not back to it so flashed it, on flashing I get nothing on the screen
I have tried hdmi, scart & phono plugs but each gives me a blank screen, although the box led is responding to the remote so the box is not "locked up".

I am sure I had this before so I did what I did then & put cfe_solo_2.0 on, then a vix that is suitable for it.

Still the same so I tried a blackhole, then a blackpole, all 3 images do the same, response from remote but no picture on tv

can anyone suggest something I may be overlooking

did the image load fully when you flashed it by usb?
also if it's a clone could you have put a image on it
that's not suitable for it?
also have you tried formatting the stick or even using
a different one to re flash the box again to see if that clears it.

1. It's a clone and software has been used before (from correct site "vuplushd.tv")
2. I have tried various pen drives that have always been ok flashing that one plus another clone I bought
3 each image I try flashes green once completed but does not show anything on screen

as mentioned I have had this before and cured it after running the cfe_solo_2.0 file, but nothing works this time.

any further ideas please

Not a good idea to keep flashing bootloader you only need to do it once. Have you tried an older image?

You could try and connect to box with null cable and putty.

I think it is flashing fine, just does not want to display.

I have had the issue before and in the end I cured it so going to retry

Try connecting to the box with the Web browser to see if it is functioning. Or try a scart lead instead of hdmi to rule out the hdmi cable/connectors. I can tell you from experience that an electrical surge elsewhere in the network can blow the hdmi port. I can only assume the ethernet cable carries enough power to cause the issue with it being very close to hdmi port. A friend of mine blew the hdmi port on his box upstairs that was connected through home plugs when he was not very careful changing the hdd on a duo downstairs with the power still on

everything of mine goes through an expensive surge protected ext, it even has usb for chrging on it and was not cheap.

Took it to supplier and they also tried using laptop but got nowhere.

This 100% has NEVER had anything but clone firmware from the vuplushd website

It sounds like it must be graphics related then. I've never delved to deep into the gubbins to know if there is a standalone graphics processor. Let us know of you ever find out what is causing the issue.
