    Vu duo Clone v3.2

Hi, I have a clone vu duo v3.2 sticker at the back. I have just updated the kernel 3.1.1 rev 3 via null modem cable. Now after flashing images the box doesn't load. It is stuck on "starting" on the display screen. Please help

      Hi Delwar,
My mate bought a Duo clone & asked me to set it up for him.
Like yourself, I made a complete "dogs bollocks" of it, & was panicing how I'm gona explain he had a door stop!!!!
After a some hours of intense CPR & TLC I managed to revive it...(at this stage I changed my boxers!!!!)
Before you even attempt to revive you need the following:
      - Use WinXP.
      - Laptop.
      - REAL Rs232 port on laptop.
      - Use Rs232 board connected on back of receiver.
      - Use Rs232 cable provided from board to back of laptop Rs232.

      - Update the "DUO boot.bin" to the box as explained on the txt (See Folder 1).
      - Update the "vu_2ver_22m_130110_sec_isp.bin" to the box (Run software and load the bin file, then turn on the box and let it do the full update) (See Folder 2).
      - Load with USB Stick the CFE (See Folder 3)
      - Then load your image...
The key to this revive is persistence, at every step, if it stalls keep retrying until it completes.

      Check PM......

      Suttsy...

I was always under the impression that the Ferrari V3.2 chip already had the 3.1.1 kernel installed as default and so no need to upgrade to use newer images, have you tried loading an image the normal way via USB stick

The kernel is part of the image it self, you need the correct bootloader in order to run kernel 3.1.1 images.
