channel list help

hi my dad has purchased a vu+ solo 2. he doesnt have clue about tech stuff so i got the job of setting it up. i only have experience with my skybox f5 so although i have search the forums im finding it hard to set up the channel list or bouqeuts as thery seemed to be called on vu

i did the online update of the image and seemed to work fine so im on black hole 2.0.9 all i want is for somebody to kindly tell me how to get the sly uk 28.2 channel list loaded on there preferably so it updates automatically aswell i read about the autobouquets plugin but couldnt seem to find it on the list downloads on the box any help would be greatly appreciated sorry if its a nooob question

It is very easy to set up your own bouquets.
First, press down button and then blue button to select bouquets
Press the menu button and create a new bouquet folder. I have Sky TV, Sky Movies, Sky Sports etc.
Press the down button, then green button and select the satellite services list you want.
Scroll down to the channel you want, press the menu button and select save to bouquet, select the folder you want to put it in and press ok.

It may seem like a chore but you very quickly get on a roll and it does not take long.
After you have the bouquets, save the settings via DreamBoxEdit to your PC.

hi i manged to get on to sky sports one like you said but said service unavaible check tuner configurations so i went into setup and then tuner configuration and set it to the astra 28.2 pressed ok then greeen error screen come up saying it would restart in 10 secounds which it dint so i eventually powerd off and back on but now it will not turn on. so im guessing i have some how bricked it? anyone know what i can do to un brick it?

hi mate if any usb attached remove then try off/on again,if still not turn on prob need a reflash with correct software for your box, make sure you no if your box clone/real, for channel list use autobouquets plugin read here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ht=autobouqets cheers shaun

hi im guessing it prob a clone wouldnt know for sure how do i tell?

is there any stickers on box top/bottom also have a read here vu+solo2 clone spotting.txt

yh sticker on the bottom with "vu+solo2" and then "SN1380001285" along with barcode.

im guessing it is a clone as ive just gone through ebay history (as it was bought a year ago but never setup because i was out of the country) and ebay seller has since left ebay and theres a few neg feedbacks saying there clones

so presumably ive messed it up i did the online update via the box itself which seemed to work fine and when i went into the settings it showed black hole 2.0.9 its wasnt untill i changed the tuner configuration that i had problems do you think i need a new chip? tryed flashing via usb on the front but nothing happens

if you can find which version clone u have then load bootloader 4 your box then correct firmware c if boot if not u can try rs232 via computer, google vu+solo2 bricked
