populating epg

is there a way i can populate several epgs for different sats? like the main one on 28 but id also wont stuff like 19 and 16 and 13 populating but not sure which addons to use

Either Crossepg or EPGimport can do what you want via the Rytec downloads, Just be careful as your running a Vu solo with it only having a very low power CPU asking it to download quite a few different EPG's could end up with errors, I would suggest you try with just 28.2 east and 19.2 east as a start see how the vu handles the download and then gradually increase the downloads 1 at a time until you think it may be at its maximum.

Just for info if you are on 19.2 east and leave the Vu on one of the Sky Germany channels the EPG will populate fully over a couple of minutes itself

The EPG from the German Bouquet will stay in ram until you either switch off or reboot or move to another satellite, the more permanent solution would be the rytec download

yeah my cross epg isnt updating rytec, so going to have a search around for this epgimport plugin. had this box a couple years and still learning, god help me when i upgrade in a few months haha

cheers that starts, downloading them but even 28 wont download, always gets stuck on parsing, not sure if my box needs a full reset read something about a swap file for older boxes and downloads, not sure what it all meant though haha

What box exactly are you using I know you use vix so where are you downloading the epg to media/hdd or media/usb or internal flash.
Check menu>set up>system>epg>settings>epg location press left or right on d pad to change location as this should not be set to internal flash as it will fill up and create problems. So use whatever you have fitted usb or hdd whatever you have mounted to box. hth

You would certainly have to use a swap file with a Vu Solo it does not have the grunt factor to deal with all the extra processing on the EPG side

i give up, got 28 to do now with a sawp file but rytec providers constabntly fail, here is last log

personally i just think your wasting your time the Vu Solo just does not have the processor power to handle multiple downloads as well as carry on doing its own main duty as a satellite reciever

found the problem, the problem is the version of vix its in the known troubles section, trouble is i cant go any higher because of old box, going to try find a black hole, stuck with this box until march

which model clone is it

im not too sure, iv downloaded 2 different black holes for v2 and v3, bot when i press reset, the red light comes on, the instantly turns to green loading the vix image i have installed, formatted to fat 32 so not sure whats going wrong, stupid old box haha
