I go for the Samsung Eco Green with 5400RPM spin speed, they are supposed to be a little cooler.

Quite easy, connect the HDD to the caddy using the supplied screws and Rubber shock absorbers, connect power and SATA.

When you power up the box, you need to initialize the HDD from Menu - settings - system - Harddisk. You can then configure CrossEPG to use the HDD and set a swap file if required.

Thanks dell, will order now, just another question, have motor setup on tuner A (19-16-13-10-7-4-0.8) setup on it, fixed dish on tuner B(28) setup, can I still record from 28 and still be watching 28 or would I have set it up on tuner A aswell

If you have B tuner configured correctly on a fixed dish Sat, you should be able to record the programs on that sat, independant of what the motorised dish is pointing at on tuner A.

I only have 28 on tuner B, can I watch 28 on tuner B and record tuner B at the same time or will I have to setup 28 on tuner A ?

no need to format it if it's brand new. however some people do have problems initializing HDD's with any thing but the original image. i didnt have any issues my self with a Uno and a 2.5 hdd i installed using VIX but some do.

If you check out a tut I did when I first got my VU+ duo you'll see that you had to have the original VU+ image on it, format/initialize HD then re-install the Vix image.
If it doesn't format straight away, you'll have to do as above m8 :-(
