Satellite not locking

Hi guys I've got a new vu+ box with a motorised dish when I'm going a scann of satellites its not locking on to anything

Example I'm searching sky uk 28.2 but channels are cuming up from 19.2

The box was flashed with black hole image

My tuner settings are Configured to the lnb
How do I connect to the box to update any files like dcc

Whats yer tuner config set to on the Vu ?

It's I've got it at advanced tuner config with 28.2 as on lnb 1 and hot bird as lnb2

would suggest dish is out of alignment to me,any big gales happen near you or how did you set the dish up was it usals

Got it fitted by a satellite engineer he did set it up using usuals but said the satellites arnt locking he's not used v+ box before do u think Ive put the latest sat xln file on aswell

It's irrelevant what box he's used to. If the dish is set up correctly it will pick the sats up. If it's not, it wont. Get him back o do it properly.

we left it working!!!! what a joke, id blacklist his name to all you know for that attitude m8. try sending your motor to zero in the menus, re-boot your box and make sure your lat/long details are correct and then try to find the sats at say.. 28.2e/1w/30w and if these are coming in strong you should be ok, regards mdt

Hi mate cactikid is correct your dish is out of alignment I had the same problem. The only way I found out how to get it right was to mess around with the Latitude & Longitude settings or get youdish re-aligned

originally my Longitude: was -001.438, I changed this to -000.200 I have a lock on 95% of sats. proberbly not the greatest solution but it worked!
