sceduled download ............once a day
sceduled download at.........04:00
show as plugin..................yes
show as extension ............yes
show 'force reload' as plugin......no
press red
scroll down to update rytec providers press ok
scroll back up to XMLTV providers
press ok
scroll through list until rytec uk xmltv ..press green
press yellow and let it update, if your not up to date already
exit out and it will update automatically
the more providers you choose the longer it will take

What exactly happens? I did do a lot of investigating of a similar problem using CrossEPG on a DM800SE. I'll try nd find the thread, my replies are a bit on the long side but you can have a gander to see if it's similar to the problem that you're having.
EDIT: The post I was referring to was related to CrossEPG randomly reverting to Internal Flash. I am currently looking at an issue where CrossEPG does the overnight download but then fails to refresh the EPG data, so the EPG data you see in bouquets isn't refreshed. What happens is that if you look at the crossepg folder on your HDD/USB the downloaded data will have the date and time of the last download but if you look at the file epg.dat in the root of the HDD/USB it will have yesterdays date and time (or the last date and time that it updated). I'm quoting all of this for the dm800se, don't have a vu+duo so can't say for sure if it all works the same.
