vix 2.4 network question

    vix 2.4 network question

    flashed 2.4 today, unable to see my vu duo in networks on windows 7, any idea why?

    do i need to set up ftp setup or one of the other network setup options on the vu duo

    did you try powering box off at rear and then on,even though box may work the network does not see it,happens with my duo and solo at times.

      had the same problem using my Imac m8, go into network settings and enable afs and nfs I think it is, one of them is just for apple think its afs, give it a go.

          none of the above worked, i was unable to add it as a media device and see recorded tv on my harddrive but no computer for browsing files

            if i want to browse or look at recordings on my duo from my solo i use media player to view,if it does not see my duo i need to go to setup-network-network browser and scan then it finds my duo.

                yes AFS is for apple devices.

                  got it working after a proper power off i did a restore of my 2.3 but it just installed my setting onto 2.4, didnt expect this but im happy with it! loving the channel viewer on the bottom bar without having to change the actual channel

                    ah good stuff,yes the power switch at rear is different to using the off on remote ,happy viewing.
