Play movies from usb on vix 2.4

I am trying to play avi and mkv files on my 32gb usb drive on my vu duo running vix 2.4

My usb drive is formatted as exfat so it can store large movie files over 4gb. Is this ok.

Still not sure how to playback the movies, do i need some sort of plugin...

Black screen comes up with white writing says problem has been encountered and box will reboot in 10 seconds...

Is there no type of media player plug in for the box...

thats a crash upload the log using the logs manager. and this is what you should see by pressing the file list button as it launches the inbuilt media player.

Im in logs manager, I can see the crash logs but how do I fix the issue.

I did download the enhanced movie center plug in and now that button works, it loads the EMC, but no movies show up. I initialised the usb, mounted it, put a movie on the drive but its not showing up.

I went in to the emc settings and changed the directory from /hdd/movie to media/usb but still nothing...

Got it sorted with a fresh image install of vix 2.4 135. Only thing is I have to initialise usb drive to mount it as media/usb then when i insert it in my pc it is not recognisable.

Is there no way just to format the usb drive as fat32 and play movies off it.

When I format it is fat32 and go to mount as media/usb it crashes, only way i can get it to work is to initialise it...
