    Network issue VU+ duo

    Hi

    Hoping someone can help.

I am having issues with my VU+ Duo where it keeps losing the Internet connection. If I restart the box all channels (sly) now work fine until the next time when it again loses net connection. Any ideas what is causing this?
I have changed from dhcp to static ip but still not made a difference. My router ip is 192.168.0.1 what ip should I change it to? I had set it to 192.168.0.200

    Lease time

Hi it doesn't matter which ip number you select at end of ip address as long as it does not clash with another device using your network, so 200 should be fine.

Your router might be set up to limit the time a connection is allowed to connect to it ( lease time) check your router settings and change it to unlimited.

    cheers

Come to think of it is connected via Ethernet cable but having the same issues. Anyone else having issues? Re the lease time there is no choice to keep it unlimited. It was set at 3600 but I am not sure what to choose or set to. Help??

                      Dhcp is currently off.
This is getting stranger by the minute. I started the duo and lo behold there was no picture. However I went on the tspanel to double check it is my Internet connection that is dropping by downloading an add on. Yes you've guessed it it downloaded. Therefore the Internet connection is there on the box however it keeps losing the picture. This must mean there must be some setting on the box which keeps causing this issue unless if folks know otherwise.

Are you using a sea-lion? If you are it looks very much like the softcam is either stopping or the sea-lion isn't very reliable. How long have you waited to see if the pic returns?

Try another Cccam that might be your problem.

Yes I am using a sea lion. I'm on mgcamd 1.35a. I think I may delete the mgcamd files and re-install mscamd 1.38 and the cfg file via tspanel. Hoping that will make a difference if that is what you mean by softcam
